So They May Know And Worship The One True God
The LAMProject’s mission is to translate the Scriptures to facilitate the planting of biblically reproducing indigenous churches among every population segment of the Kurds.
Who Are The Kurds?
What are the Needs?
Currently, the Bible has been translated into the two most common Kurdish dialects, but few of the 7.2 million Kurds who speak other dialects can understand these translations.
Religious Identity
0.0% are evangelical. Traditionally, they fall into one of four Muslim groups: Sunni, Shia, Alevi, or Sufi while others practice the Yazidi, Zoroastrian, or Yarsan religions.

“Since the work of Wycliffe and Tyndale, the English-speaking peoples have enjoyed the blessing of having the Holy Scriptures translated into their mother tongue. The LAMProject is committed to bringing that same blessing to an ancient people who have been overlooked in the translation of the Scriptures. To this end, the founders desire to pursue advanced linguistic training while embedding themselves in the close-knit communal networks of this Middle Eastern people…The LAMProject’s purpose is that the Kurds might know the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and have forgiveness of their sins through faith in his name.“
